Even though it is not as fast as printers in a similar price range, it does appear to have better quality. Sonya J. – I was very impressed with the quality of both black and white and color prints from the Brother HL-4150CDN.  Over the years, I have tried many kinds of printers, and have stayed away from Brother because they have a bad reputation. They must have created a special winner with this printer.

Lydia G. – Many people will tell you that separate color cartridges will help you save money.  I have never found that to be the case, including with the Brother HL-4150CDN.  In fact, I was very upset with this printer, because it goes through both black and color toner so fast.  It seems like they should have done a better job on this part of the printer.

Beth K. – I was very disappointed when this printer ran out of toner so fast.  Even the black cartridge had to be replaced far sooner than expected.

Overall, we feel if you want a good quality color laser printer, the Brother HL-4150CDN should suit your needs. It should work well in a home office, as well as for college students that need to generate color graphs or other documents. That said, if you have a large number of printing jobs, toner cost may be problematic.
