The Canon Pixma MP560 is a compact all-in-one printer that does a fabulous job of printing photos. With five separate ink tanks (so that you replace one color at a time unlike multi-color ink cartridges) and the ability to print full page (8.5 x 11”) borderless photos, the MP560 is a high quality photo printer.
With wireless capabilities, this Canon printer is the perfect solution for the home. Send images to your printer wirelessly from the deck or the couch. No need to be tied to your printer anymore which makes the Pixma MP560 practical for today’s multi-tasking world.
Don’t know where to start with editing a photo? Not a Photoshop wizard? Have no idea what Photoshop even is? The Canon Pixma MP560 has the new Auto Photo Fix II feature built in. This feature auto-corrects your photos and allows you to view them on the built-in LCD screen prior to printing. Auto Photo Fix II will determine whether your picture is a portrait, scenery, or other photo variations and then corrects the exposure for the optimal image and accurate skin tone for breathtaking images.
The MP560 also makes copies and scans images.
One complaint about this printer is that the inks are not waterproof and that they will smudge in the rain. But I haven’t tested this since I like to keep my pictures dry in a frame or album.
Most reviews on the Pixma MP560 are good. There are a few that complaints about the photo quality prints but for every one bad review there are ten that are good.
Supposedly, the printer will not scan or copy or print in black and white unless all the ink cartridges are installed, but this has only been verified by one reviewer.
The original inks for this printer are a bit pricey, but there are compatible ink cartridges for the Canon Pixma MP560 available.
Of the over 300 reviews on Amazon.com, about 10% of these rate the MP560 3 out of 5 stars or lower. Most of these bad reviews seem to be either a onetime manufacturer’s defect or operator error. Most reviewers rave about Canon’s customer support and also about this printer.
