Inkjet cartridges sold as compatible are typically made for replacing the original manufactured cartridges. The legal issue regarding remanufactured cartridges was brought to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Laser toner or inkjet cartridges sold as remanufactured are typically re-filled cartridges, although many third party newly manufactured compatible cartridges are on the market. Inkjet cartridges sold as compatible are typically newly manufactured cartridges. Saving money on ink will always be a hot top and consumers will always want discount ink cartridges. These include ink sold in bulk, cartridge refill kits, machines in stores that automatically refill cartridges, remanufactured cartridges, and cartridges produced by a company other than the original manufacturer.
