A Brief Review of the HP Deskjet 3000 Printer
If you are looking for a printer that will make a true distinction between color and black printing, the HP Deskjet 3000 Printer might have some appeal. In fact, many people that are tired of printers that rely on the color
ink cartridges for black printing often turn to HP. That said, if you still favor Canon, Lexmark, or Brother products you may want to look at their alternatives to the HP Deskjet 3000 Printer.
Printer Ink Cartridges Required
· HP61 Combo – approx 200 pages
HP Deskjet 3000 Printer—Features
· 600 x 600 dpi black inkjet printing, 4800 x 1200 color printing. If you need fast black printing, and good quality color prints, the differences in dpi offered by the HP Deskjet 3000 Printer are bound to have some appeal for you.
· Wireless printing – never worry about wires or USB ports failing when you have make use of a wireless connection.
What Users Like About the Product
· Wireless
· Small footprint
Elaine Taylor – Even though my computer room is fairly large, I would have needed to run a cable across the floor in order to put the HP Deskjet 3000 Printer in the best possible place. The wireless setup saved me from that problem and much more.
Paul Rivera -- I was very impressed by the small size of this printer. It fits perfectly on my desk, and is very easy to work with. I have had other printers from other companies that were very clumsy in this respect. With this printer, I can easily access the paper feed, and the cartridges are also very easy to change. I am also very happy with the location of the control buttons.
What users don't like about the product
· No borderless printing
· Poor quality printing
Petra Barnes -- Since I often print photos, borderless printing is very important. Unfortunately, there is no way to do that with this printer. If I want a true sized image, I have to resize, waste larger sized paper, and then go through the annoyance of trimming each photo. This makes for cost in time and money when the HP Deskjet 3000 Printer should have been built with this function.
Gordon Gardner -- I usually get good quality printing from HP devices, but the HP Deskjet 3000 Printer is a true dud. Even returning it for a different unit did not work out. I was also very sad to find out that customer support could not help solve my problem.
Recommendations
Overall, we feel that the HP Deskjet 3000 Printer will work well in just about any home setting. The wireless setup is ideal if you need to locate the printer at some distance from the computer, or do not have room for cables. That said, if you are going to use this printer for photos, the poor quality and borderless printing may be serious problems. You can still use this printer for creating graphs, or other items for school projects.
