Printer Reviews
Even though many people are skeptical when they look at the specifications of the Lexmark C544n, you may still find it useful enough for certain needs. Lexmark often has a reputation for offering newer features at lower prices than those offered by competitors. Unfortunately, these devices often don't have the level of quality or durability that one would expect. That said, you might be compelled to think differently when you check out the Lexmark C544n.

What Users like about the product
· toner is cheap
· prints fast
Melinda Crane – I had to get rid of a different laser printer because it was using so much toner. The Lexmark C544n does not use much toner, even for color prints. It is also much cheaper to replace than toner from other companies.
Barbara McKinney -- Once I finish designing a brochure or poster, I need it printed as fast as possible. The Lexmark C544n is truly faster and more efficient than I thought it would be. This was an immense relief, considering I had purchased a Canon that was supposed to deliver fast prints, and did not do so.
What users don't like about the product
· poor quality printing
· large footprint
Ricky Dawson -- I read a number of reviews that indicated Lexmark printers do not produce good quality. I was still tempted by the price, and the network function, and finally decided to buy the Lexmark C544n. Let's just say that Lexmark lived up to all those bad reviews, and that I will never rely on them again for a good quality printer, no matter what dpi they claim it prints at.
India Barrett -- Even though a multi-function device is supposed to be a bit bigger than a regular printer, this one is oversized. I was also very unhappy with the way the paper feeds work, since there is not enough room on my desk. Anyone that wants to avoid handling a clumsy printer should not buy the Lexmark C544n.
Recommendations
For the most part, we feel that most home users and students will benefit from buying the Lexmark C544n. This printer can also be used as a backup printer in an office environment or as a primary printer if you are not concerned about clear, crisp text. That said, if you want a good quality print job, it might be better to look to a Canon or HP.
